hope at last

last year I was in such a bad place. but the past ew years were even worse. but now it looks like everything's slowly improving and I'm just trying my best not to fck things up.

updates:
1. brother finally graduated! so happy he pushed through.
2. sister also graduated! so happy here efforts were not in vain.
3. we finally sold my mom's property.

thank God.

feels like a big weight was taken off my chest and I can finally breathe. now I don't have to support my parents financially (plus my younger bro and sis are in a much better situation now). ♥️

so grateful for Paul for supporting me through all of that. whew. now we can focus on our own lives 😭♥️🤞

rant #3

rant#2

still supporting my family even though the pandemic's technically over and people can go to work.

not sure how long I can put up with this but I feel like I have no other choice.

I don't want to see my parents. so I get anxious everytime I HAVE to see them.

sounds bad but can't help but feel sad+betrayed+angry+annoyed at their situation. the fact that they're old but never really made the most of what they have.

maybe because I'm now at the same age they were when they got together and had me so I now have memories of how they were back then.. toxic to each other, poor financial choices, and playing the "martyr" character - helping others but not really doing anything to improve their own life.

re-parenting myself right now to try and deal with my situation without going insane.

rant

How do I deal with anti-vaxxer parents? all I can do now is mentally prepare myself for orphanhood (is that even a word? lol).

I've googled this a lot lately and experts suggest I cut them off.. but in the Filipino family setting you just don't do that..

I know a lot of other people my age are in a similar situation. I hope we all get through this in one piece. cos I'm barely hanging on.

my crypto strategy

not really a "strategy" but to me it makes sense. 🤣🤣🤣

*DISCLAIMER* I am NOT a crypto or finance/trading expert.

ok.. a few weeks ago I mentioned that I started dabbling in crypto using coins.ph
it's been 3months now and so far I think I'm earning? anyhoo here's how I've been doing it so far...

make sure that the money you use is EXTRA CASH you're willing to lose. ok? let's go.

1. Decide on an amount that you feel comfortable spending each month.. for me it's P500.

2. wait for crypto to go down.. this is key (buy low sell high) the number turns red if it's down.. if it's down, buy.
coinsph has 4 currencies: BTC, ETH, BTH, XRP. buy an equal amount of each. so that's 500/4=125.

3. whenever crypto goes up, I just sell the loose change. and when it's down I don't touch it. 🤣 that's basically it. I just make sure my crypto doesn't run out.

so far I've put in P1500. current crypto earning is approx. P1200. not bad eh.. it could be higher if I did more risks but I'm too frugal and lazy for that. 🤣

will update here if my strategy changes.

life update 2021

we moved to a new apartment after 2 years of living in my old bedroom at my mom's house.

FREEDOoooom!

we used to live in a nice 2bedroom place after getting married but we decided to move back in so we can start saving up for a home.. we were slowly building up our savings but then.. covid happened.

and of course.. all went to sh*t.. suddenly we had to support my family. and our plans had to be put on hold.

protip: NEVER MOVE BACK IN WITH YOUR PARENTS 🤣

anyhoo.. now we're finally out and starting from scratch, we still have to provide for them.. but the financial burden is definitely easier to handle than the mental stress..

here's a few photos of our new place. it's a fixer-upper, but we looove it
