My skincare routine

I have awful combination-oily-sensitive skin and even after puberty I still get acne from time to time. But lately I've been seeing some improvements ever since I started a new skin routine which I developed after years of trying out random products. I just want to share my routine just in case it might work for you. and maybe you can share your routine, too?

My routine!

Step 1: Cleansing Oil

I use Pure Beauty Pomegranate Cleansing Gel to remove the day's gunk off my face. But sometimes if I'm too lazy I just use a regular wet wipe. Apply the gel on your face in a circular motion for 2 minutes and wash off.

Step 2: Face Wash Powder

I use Rene-Cell Wash Powder instead of a foaming cleanser because I read somewhere that it's gentler on skin and much more effective. Just pour a small amount of powder on your palm and add a bit of water and it turns into foam. Afterwards I rinse it with 1 tbsp vinegar diluted in a basin of water to help even out the pH balance of my skin. This also acts like a toner (that's why no longer buy toners)

  • Powered by microbial control technologies of Jubicos, this face powder cleanser contains various enzymes including fermented rice enzymes removes a thick layer of dead skin cells and excessive sebum caused by aging. Rich lather removes dirt and wastes on skin surface and deep in the pores. It also eliminates the residue of makeup and dead skin cells.
Step 3: Moisturizer

I use Rene-Cell Skin Shield Renewal Cream and apply it like a regular moisturizer. I like it because it has no smell, it's not sticky and doesn't leave a white streak. Plus, once I put on my CC Cream, it actually helps with the blending.. I guess the two products have similar ingredients? It's awesome.

The patented ingredients with PTDTM contained in the formula provide sufficient moisture and nutrition, thus keeping the skin firm and healthy. This renewal cream forms a natural skin barrier and prevents the loss of moisture and nutrition from skin damages due to harsh environmental stressors. The patented complexes made of natural ingredients and placenta extracts prevent and even heal skin damages, revealing an instantly renewed and smoother looking complexion.

Step 4: Sunscreen

After letting the moisurizer absorb (like 2 minutes), I put on a thin layer of SPF50 sunscreen. I notice that I get less dry skin/sun spots after a month of using sunscreen. I use Cancer Society Everyday Sunscreen Lotion because I won a bottle from work (long story) haha. It's great - smells nice, goes on smoothly, and doesn't make my makeup look cakey once I put on CC Cream.
SPF 50+, Contains Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, and mineral silica

And there you have it! Pretty simple, right? Remove gunk > Wash Powder > Moisturizer > Sunscreen.

On weekends/ whenever I feel my face is crappy, I pop pimples (bad!) and alternate between a bunch or different face masks that I want to try out, but that's about it..

Share your regimen in the comments! :D
