life update 2021

we moved to a new apartment after 2 years of living in my old bedroom at my mom's house.

FREEDOoooom!

we used to live in a nice 2bedroom place after getting married but we decided to move back in so we can start saving up for a home.. we were slowly building up our savings but then.. covid happened.

and of course.. all went to sh*t.. suddenly we had to support my family. and our plans had to be put on hold.

protip: NEVER MOVE BACK IN WITH YOUR PARENTS 🤣

anyhoo.. now we're finally out and starting from scratch, we still have to provide for them.. but the financial burden is definitely easier to handle than the mental stress..

here's a few photos of our new place. it's a fixer-upper, but we looove it

skincare routine 2021

I really wanted to get that ulzzang glass skin that kpop stars have but over the years I kept getting random allergic reactions and acne breakouts that I reached a point where I just didn't care anymore. i focused on other things and didn't really make "beauty" a priority. and you know what? my skin's doing better. I'm not ulzzang but that's just not my priority right now. LOL

✨skincare routine (as of 2021)✨
morning:
1. splash of water to wake up and remove gunk off my eyes
-end of morning routine-

evening:
1. kojic soap (just the foam not the soap) on my face.
2. micellar water as toner
3. pimple eraser
4. nivea moisturiser

I've stopped wearing makeup and I don't  actually miss it (~ ̄³ ̄)~

budget update

guys.. so far the new budget style is working (●♡∀♡). we don't have debt, we're starting to diversify our money, and slowly building up an emergency fund despite having to support my family and surviving this pandemic.

I tweaked it a bit to focus more on saving up so here's the updated version:

1. calculate 20% of your income. this will be your savings.
2. subtract savings from income.
3. calculate your total fixed essential expenses (bills) and subtract that from what's left of your income.
4. whatever's left, this will be your grocery/transport/allowance.

it's way more extreme than what we're used to but I think this was the only way we managed to stay in control of our finances. hopefully things get better for my parents and we'll be able to save up even more. (´-﹏-`;)
